Description
Discover the habitat of the squirrel - on the „De Kaweechelcherspad".
The 1.4-kilometer-long squirrel path leads visitors along the slopes of the "Brucherbierg" in the south of Schifflange. On site, educational panels tell about the daily life of the smallest mammal in Luxembourg, and visitors can discover the many plant and animal species with which the squirrel shares its habitat. Children will have a great time here and can learn
- how much oxygen a tree produces daily
- how ivy can climb trees
- which type of grass only occurs in the forest
and much more. Along the way, you can discover the unique climate and the rich geological history of the "Brucherbierg", where traces of mining can still be seen today.
