"Séier bei de Béier" – Beer Walk with Brasserie Nationale

As part of the national campaign "Lëtzebuerg, dat ass Vakanz!", this exclusive experience invites participants to discover how beer is created, step by step. Offered only on selected dates, it combines nature, learning and hands-on insights into the art of brewing.

The guided walk of approximately 6 kilometres around the Brasserie Nationale in Bascharage takes participants to six interactive stations where each stage of the brewing process is presented in a clear and engaging way. The focus is on the four key ingredients of beer—malt, water, hops and yeast—and on how they influence the flavour, colour and character of the finished product.

Participants can observe, touch and smell different types of malt, discover the milling process, learn about the importance of water in brewing and follow key brewing stages such as mashing, filtration and hop additions. Further stations explore yeast, different fermentation methods, the German Beer Purity Law and alternative ingredients and spices that may be used in modern beers. Small quiz elements along the route provide additional interaction and present the information in a fun and engaging way.

A particular highlight of the experience is the opportunity for the group to develop its own personalised beer. Throughout the walk, participants make decisions about the ingredients and character of the beer and choose a unique name together. Based on these ideas, an exclusive beer is created. Each participant will later be able to collect their own personal bottle of this beer, specially produced for the group, from the Brasserie Nationale's BrauAtelier.

The experience concludes at the Brasserie Nationale's BrauAtelier, where participants gain further insights into the final stages of beer production, from filtration to bottling. An exclusive beer tasting rounds off the experience and offers the opportunity to experience the newly acquired knowledge through all the senses.

This activity is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Participation is limited to a maximum of 15 people to ensure a personal, high-quality experience.
