The path first gently follows the bike path through the forest. This is followed by a slightly more athletic ascent up to a wider forest path. This path leads you comfortably through tall trees.

Along the way, you will not only enjoy a lot of greenery but also cross the former open-pit mining area "Brommeschbierg," which today lies within the nature reserve "Léiffrächen." Here, you can see the red mining terraces and how nature has reclaimed this once barren area.

Before reaching your starting point, the trail continues toward "Léiffrächen," a well-known and popular pilgrimage site in Luxembourg. A small chapel in a grotto, where the "Léiffrächen," the patron saint of miners and pit workers, is enshrined, has over time become an important pilgrimage site, inseparably linked to Luxembourg’s mining heritage and the miner families living here.

Right beside the pilgrimage site, the "Monument National des Mineurs" was erected. This monument honors the miners who lost their lives in their hard work. On closer inspection, you can see that some of the deceased miners were not even 14 years old. From the observation tower, you can enjoy a view over the entire area.
