Revels in red

Ever wondered why they call it the "Terres Rouges", the "Land of the red rocks"? On these hikes, you'll surely find out why - and discover how the industrial past of the region continues to shape it to this day. Hike across some of the most beautiful nature reserves of the Minett region, whose rich contrasts of shiny oxidized topsoil and the greenery of nature shine even brighter during the autumn months.

We've collected some of our greatest hits for those days when the colors change and the months of autumn arrive.

All of these hikes offer long walks accross former mining areas, whose open-pit mining zones have been abandoned over the years and have since turned into nature reserves. As nature slowly reclaims the area, the manmade terrain with its shining rusty red coloring is still markedly visible.
