Red clifffaces on the "Léiffrächen"
See red rocks
These rock faces provide visitors with a striking insight into why the Minette region is also called "Terres Rouges" ("Red Earth"): the iron-rich Minette rock was mined and smelted, extracted from underground mines or, as seen here, in open-cast mining. Today, the exposed rock faces stand out from the landscape, bathing it in the deep red hue so characteristic of the region.
