Editing Found Footage (walk-in)
Im Rahmen der Ausstellung “Five Hours, Fifty Days, Fifty Years” von David Claerbout
An invitation for contemplative perception and playful engagement with looping narratives.
In this open workshop, participants work with found 16mm film to explore storytelling through subtle change and repetition. Rather than producing new footage, the focus lies in reclaiming, transforming and editing existing images.
By reworking archival film into loops, participants reshape forgotten images. Each projection allows small gestures to emerge, forming tension, rhythm, and new happenings.
This approach connects directly to the research into David Claerbout’s work, which explores time in its passing, perception, and presence. Like Claerbout, this workshop invites a heightened attention to duration and subtle transformation, where the line between image and movement begins to dissolve.
This workshop invites a hands-on, reflective approach to time, material, and memory.
All materials will be provided by the Konschthal.
