Welcome the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess to the Minett region!

On 24 April 2026, the Minett region will welcome the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess. Let’s celebrate this 'Joyeuse Entrée' together with a festive and convivial day for all ages!

The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess will arrive in Belval at around 4:00 PM (site open to the public from 3:00 PM). The celebrations will then continue in the heart of Esch-sur-Alzette with a large public festival on Place de la Résistance (Brillplaz), themed around the circus. From 4:00 PM onwards, enjoy the festivities before welcoming Their Royal Highnesses at around 5:00 PM.

Activities, performances and a festive atmosphere will carry on throughout the evening in a spirit of togetherness and community.
