ASTRONOMY DAYS 2026 – 4th EDITION
October 10 & 11, uncover the mysteries of the Universe!
Dive into the fascinating world of astronomy for an immersive weekend. For its 4th edition, the Astronomy Days event returns with a rich program of scientific discoveries and captivating activities for all ages.
Shows, Conferences, and Science Slams (limited seats):

- Science Slam : Attend the Science Slam, a friendly competition where researchers from "University of Luxembourg" present their research topics on stage in a captivating, humorous, and accessible way. Then, it's up to you to vote for the best performance!
- Fascinating Conferences: Take part in a wide variety of conferences on astronomy (black holes, astrophotography, discoveries from the James Webb Space Telescope, shooting stars, satellites, and many other surprises).
PLEASE NOTE: Access to the various conferences is strictly reserved for children aged 6 and older. However, other activities and workshops are provided for younger children. Thank you for your understanding.
Stands, Workshops, and Various Activities (Ongoing):
- Solar Observation: Observe our star using advanced, safe telescopes guided by experts from "Amateur Astronomers Luxembourg" (weather permitting).
- Stands & Activities: Discover several stands on site, including the one hosted by the "La Grande Ourse" astronomy club from Thionville.
- Exhibitions: At Mr. Laur's stand, admire reproductions of astronaut suits from the Apollo missions, as well as a 1:1 scale replica of the Apollo Lunar Rover.
- Children's Workshops: Creative activities await the little ones! Our science communicators will guide them step-by-step as they make their very own planisphere.
- Virtual Reality (VR): Take the opportunity to immerse yourself in the heart of space through our VR experience.

Please note that you can reserve only one conference or show per person in advance. On the day of the event, you will be able to join additional conferences at no extra cost, subject to availability.
