Julie Wagener and Zoom Éditions have the great pleasure to invite you to join them on the 24th June at the Kulturfabrik (Esch/Alzette) on the occasion of the book release event for ������ ������������������’������ ������������������������������ ������������������������ ������������������������.

������ ������������������’������ ������������������������������ ������������������������ ������������������������ is a short graphic story that explores certain aspects of the existential struggles that the globalised western society faces today. A visual critique of the systems we follow and the lives we live. 

A short book presentation of the book will be followed by the screening of the movie ������������������������������������������������������ (2020) by Carmen Losmann.

Unser Wirtschaftssystem hat sich unsichtbar gemacht und entzieht sich dem Verstehen. Der Dokumentarfilm OECONOMIA legt die Spielregeln des Kapitalismus offen und macht in episodischer Erzählstruktur sichtbar, dass die Wirtschaft nur dann wächst, dass Gewinne nur dann möglich sind, wenn wir uns verschulden. 

Jenseits von distanzierten Phrasen der Berichterstattung, die ein Verstehen des Ungeheuerlichen letztlich immer wieder verunmöglichen, macht sich OECONOMIA mit viel Scharfsinn und luzider Stringenz daran, den Kapitalismus der Gegenwart zu durchleuchten. 

Erkennbar wird ein Nullsummenspiel, das uns und unsere ganze Welt in die Logik einer endlos fortwährenden Kapitalvermehrung einspannt – koste es was es wolle.
