Regional Museum of forced conscription
Description
Better understand the fate of drafted soldiers
Military conscription—the term is sometimes a bit hard to understand, especially for young people who often have trouble imagining what it really means. With the help of archival images, documents, photographs, advertisements, propaganda posters, and war memorabilia the image of the drafted soldier becomes a little clearer.
At the Museum of Military Conscription, you can discover the fates of those forced to serve and learn about their courage. During the war, Dudelange was evacuated and occupied by the Germans; people were captured, imprisoned and sent to concentration camps. We must never forget the brave souls who stood up, fought and died for their country.
The Regional Museum of Military Conscription is a perfect testament to their courage.
